We Need to Talk

We Need To Talk is the first all women’s sports talk show, featuring a breadth of talent that includes some of the most influential women in the business. For it’s 10th season, we updated the franchise’s visual identity with a bold, current package that could stretch from on air to social.

Talent

We Need To Talk is unique in the sheer amount of amazing female perspectives that it features.  We wanted to showcase this collective strength in a way that felt both elevated and cohesive. To do this, we enlisted the help of illustrator Kasiq Jungwoo, who created a series of distinctive portraits.  Each portrait was then placed into a unique color set and composition “tile”, allowing us to arrange them topically whenever a particular talent was featured.


Tone

The show is engaging, real, and approachable, and the color palette was chosen to reflect this.  A series of typefaces was chosen that brought a renewed sense of energy to the brand.

Producers felt strongly that the show’s logo should be maintained, so we updated the script typeface and removed the exterior border framing the lockup to create an updated mark that was current and more functional.
